About

1. A benefit project to help raise funds for the DLSU-D Disaster Relief Fund and Scholarship Endowment Fund.

2. A record attempt to set a Philippine or World Record for the Largest Temporary Coin Mural ever made.

The idea/inspiration came from the challenge of increasing collections for the Piso Para sa Iskolar. and to contribute to the DLSU-D’s initiative to help build at least one public classroom in the Typhoon Yolanda affected area or assist in the rehabilitation efforts. Coin murals have been made in various countries. The current record holder is Japan which formed a coin mural composed of 2.5 million coins (1 yen) and Angola which formed a coin mosaic comprised of 55,000 coins (various denominations).
